Failing Workers and Patients

Reading all of these posts regarding unionization, what has happened to Red Cross workers, their rights violated, no pay, low pay, etc. I thought Red Cross had a collective agreement that protected them, provided fair wages, and fair disciplinary action. Why are you paying union dues? Seems the Management is only following a Collective Agreement that everyone agreed to. I am confused as to what the issue is. If you were not happy with last contract, how did it get voted in? I am not saying you do not have legitimate reasons and fighting for your rights, but is that not the reason for paying union dues? Seems to me, you are paying for something that was never given, but I am sure it was promised!
