"It would be very hard to go out to a clinic" - Home Care Client
Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 3:06PM I have been receiving home care for just over a year. I had a stroke and when I came out of the hospital I started to receive home care.
A PSW who is specially trained to do my physio comes three times a week. She does exercises with me for my legs and arms, but my balance is the worst. This girl is doing the job of a physiotherapist. They trained her to do their job and she gets peanuts for it. And she does it well.
If she didn’t come to the apartment, it would be very hard to go out to a clinic, since I have a hard time walking. My wife would have to help me and it’s difficult to do that, especially in the winter.
I know what they’re fighting for and I agree with them. I don’t blame them – it’s been like that for years.
With the price of gas, and the time travelling and that, they should get more.
